The Nature Experience

It is impossible to envision Colorado without invoking images of hikes through wildflower filled alpine meadows and rivers rushing beneath snowcapped mountain peaks.  On this 8 day trip, you will experience both first hand.  We will go beyond what the average tourist gets to experience by focusing on the natural environment that defines Colorado from both an educational and environmental perspective.  Highlights include a trek from Aspen to Crested Butte that will take you through wildflower packed meadows, a raft trip though America’s newest National Monument, a VIP experience and seminars at the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival located in the wildflower capitol of Colorado, and a backcountry hut experience above 11,000 feet. 

 

 

Canyons and Peaks of Colorado

Part of what makes Colorado’s scenery so special is the contrast of the State’s towering peaks and dramatic canyons.  On this 8 day trip, we will explore this wild terrain up close and personal.  Highlights include rafting through the steep walls of Glenwood Canyon, a downhill bike tour of the iconic Maroon Bells, the most photographed peaks in North America, a ride through the wild San Juan Mountains aboard a historic steam train, a drive through the Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park, and a jeep tour that will explore backcountry ghost towns and high mountain passes before dropping us off in Telluride, an old Western town that sits at the end of a sheer box canyon.

 

 

 

Backcountry Colorado

There are few places more scenic, peaceful, and difficult to access than the high country of Colorado.  Allow our experienced guides to show you the ropes.  On this 8 day trip, we will enjoy an amazing mix of backcountry and mountain town life in comfort and style.  Highlights include a horseback ride beneath the shadow of 14,000 foot peaks, exploring the high country above 12,000 feet by jeep, a scenic llama trek to one of Colorado’s most luxurious backcountry huts, and hiking in the alpine meadows surrounding the wildflower capitol of Colorado!!
